Buships watch

BUSHIPS stands for" Bureau of Ship." A special waterproof watch was developed and distributed for the United States Navy SEAL” UDT"(Underwater Demolition Team) formed during World War II.
These BUSHIP watches were made by the Elgin National Watch Company and the Hamilton Watch Company; however, this specific type of BUSHIP watch is reproduced using Elgin standards.
This popular BUSHIP watch is nicknamed the "canteen" (water bottle) because of its big crown cap and shape.
The watch was changed to have a quartz movement to make it easier to use and remake.

WHAT IS UNDERWATER DEMOLITION TEAM-?
Underwater bombing special team. From WW1's tactical reflections, 1942 The US Navy and Army emphasized the need for amphibious attacks and jointly established a more elite and tactical training center in Florida. It was launched as a unit to explode and eliminate landing troops in order to scout landing beaches, locate obstacles and defenses, and land landing troops. It is also the predecessor of the United States Navy SEALs that world-class special forces of the US military today.
