This navigational pocket watch was used by the US Army and Navy during World War II. The model’s name is "AN5740": "A" for ARMY, and "N" for Navy.

The classic AN5740 Master Navigation Watch has been remade so that it can be used not only as a pocket watch but also as a wristwatch (currently applying for a trademark registration). This is done by a special case being attached to this pocket watch.
There have already been pocket watches wrapped in a leather cover to turn them into wristwatches. However, the cover hides the form of the pocket watch, so the original shape and beauty of the pocket watch are lost. The AN5740 pocket watch is indispensable among US military navigation watches. The AN5740 was developed in the 1940s during World War II.
It was used as a master watch used on land, sea, and air. It is a battery-powered quartz watch that has been resized (46mm, about 5mm less than the original diameter). Additionally, the watch has been remade using the Ronda Swiss movement.
The hours are marked 1-24 hours on the inside and the seconds are displayed on the outside in 5-second increments. Additionally, the large font makes it easy to read the time even on a 24-hour clock.
